The idea to make cake pops came from RachelAllen's, Cake book. When my elder son came home from school at the end of September and was talking about they had prepared halloween cakes, and halloween drawings, and halloween mask I was getting suspicious this year we had to make our own Halloween at home as well, including baking cakes and muffins decorated with spiders or other symbols

Pile the three cake tin sponges on top of each other and place the basin cake on top, upside down. Half fill the pudding basin or bowl with the batter, then divide the rest between the three tins, making a slight hollow in the centre of the cake in the tins so that the cake does not have a peak when cooked, making it easier to assemble the pile of cakes

Cake pops

Crumble the cake into the melted chocolate, and stir until well mixed. Remove the cake pops from the fridge, then dip each one into the chocolate coating and either insert upright into the polystyrene block or place back on the lined baking sheet
