Welcome to anotherMondayMealPlananda new week…. It’s time to share my mealplan for the week ahead now, and I hope that you find some recipe inspiration, whether you aredieting or not
Can be served asa light lunch with saladleaves, but add the calories on for that. My MondayMealPlan this week has slid to aTuesday – as you know if you have been readingand following my blog over the last few days, I have been SO busy with a houseful of guests, cleaning, cooking, gardening, packing (I am off on my travels tomorrow) andthat left me only a few hours, or should I sayand hour, in evening to write my blog, do round-ups (the Herbs on Saturday round-up is following on latertoday) andall the other stuff I love doing here
Vegetariansausagecan be addedasan option, just make sure you add the appropriatecalories. well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen andpreparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post anymealplans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying thattoday with a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew
But back to my weekly mealplan, which is on Tuesdayagain, and I amlateagain……it is an odd week, as I have my daughterand her two friends staying for the week, so things will be a little flexible
I amalso used to being savvy with my calories, or points as I normally count them. I MISSED last week’s MondayMealPlan, sorry aboutthat, I had it allready to post, but time just ranaway with me
I am linking this mealplan to Mrs M over at her excellent MealPlanningMonday link. so, whatcan be better on a VERY cold spring daythana bowl of comforting andhearty soup – it certainly fits the bill
Havea VERY happyandhealthyTuesday, and see you later with my VERY lateMondayMealPlan. basically, on the “points” dietthat I havealways followed, (and I think that the Pro Points dietmay be the same) if you KNOW you haveaday coming up where you are going out for ameal or you will be eating MORE than your daily recommended daily points allowance, you can “save” some of your points up from days where you go BELOW your dailyallowance, BUT only over the period of ONE WEEK = Fastdays then
The Marmaladehas been made, for my grand entry into the World’s OriginalMarmaladeAwards, British FarmhouseBreakfast Week is over andJanuary is about to slither out in either anavalanche of snow or a deluge of flooding, and, it is anotherMealPlanningMonday post – WHERE did last week go
However, a little tweak here and there, can reduce the caloriessubstantially, and I often do that if I am being VERY strict with myself, or I just have ONE bowl on afastday, in order to adda bit more variety into the day’smeals
Anyway, back to today, and my weekly mealplan, which as you canall see, is LATE. just a wood smoke aromaawayandmaybe even just acrackling fire away………as I definitely noticed anautumnal nip in the airtoday, and indeed yesterday too
I amalsoa lifelong Weight Watchers member, and I used to follow asimilar regime when saving points to used for aspecialmeal or for the weekend, where I would eat less on one or two days during the week
The FastDiet, MealPlanningMondayand. I amback on my MondayMealPlans……thingsall went awry in December and over the Festive period, but I have decided to more disciplined, as much as I can be disciplined, andattempt to planahead
it’s greatasanaccompaniment to anymeal, as well as being wonderful when made for the buffet table – CoronationPotatoSalad - and just in time for New Year
I am finding myself being drawn more and more to comfort food recipes, asautumn deepens and the first frosts appear, and so it’s with greatpleasurethat I share my heartyHungarianSavoury Minced Beef, this is areal comfort mealand is low in calories, but, it is alsosuitable for a mid-week family supper – frugaland thrifty it may be, but it certainly doesn’t lack in flavour
