MaryBerry. Berry’s pastry recipe and blind baking method. I have made it, time and again, switching up the cheeseand bacon she suggests, and also substituting a portion of the cream element with some crème fraîche, to suit my own taste
Well if it’s good enough for MaryBerry it’s good enough for me. You can switch the herbs if you like, rosemary would be great and if you are a garlic lover, a clove or two would be lovely here too
And, even then, it’s not like Paul Hollywood is gonna break in and rank your brunch last in the technical as MaryBerry scrapes your quiche crust looking for a soggy bottom 🙂
No soggy bottom – MaryBerry would be proud. crisp and dry bottomThe goats cheese cuts through the sweetness of the onionsand peppers, and the pine nuts provide welcome texture
I bake my tarts using french pâtisserie rings, since it helps to avoid what MaryBerry—for non Brits, she’s the ex-presenter of the Great British Bake Off—would call a ‘soggy bottom’
