The original recipe was by MaryBerry which I have adapted slightly. ½ tsp almond extract. If the top starts to brown too heavily before the centre is cooked, cover lightly with foil
If MaryBerry admits to using shop bought puff then that's good enough for me. Change the ground nuts in the frangipane to classic almonds and pair with apricots or pears, or try a combination of cherries and pistachio, or walnut and banana
