I am looking forward to trying baking in the oven, the roast beef was excellent beautifully browned but still juicy and moist, the roastpotatoes crispy and tasty, given the level of interest in the oven at the recent cake club a few of my friends will also be splashing out on an oven soon too
Who else is using the halogen. I use my mini oven when I'm cooking one meal just for the two of us. Thicken with instant gravy and pour into a roasting dish
Another confession, I bought a halogenoven from Costco months ago, which I also haven’t used. Remember to click on the Save button, and let Big Oven do the rest
While I was sorting it out I was remembering all the things it did well - chips, wedges, baked potatoes, roasts and defrosting (we don't own a microwave so that could be useful on days I forget to leave something out of the freezer)
I have a halogenoven so no need for the big oven just for a few potatoes. Add stock as per your families taste, and I popped in carrots, peppers, butternut squash ( all taken from the freezer) and some diced potato, cooked for twenty minutes until all the veg was soft, poured it into a oven proof tray and topped with a sheet of pastry
