As Cadbury's chocolatefingers were on offer, I opted for them. I am pleased to say that big man is asking for an easy chocolate sweet cake for his Birthday
ChocolateFinger Birthday Cake. Thankfully it seems as though my character birthday cake making days are behind me, and the kids are happy to settle for a chocolate or carrot cake for their birthday, following a takeaway pizza
This chocolatecake looks good and it tastes great too, guess what. The sponge mix is an all in one - put everything into a bowl, mix it up - and the chocolate buttercream is a doddle to make
This Chocolate Easter Eggstravaganza Cake is a real show-stopper – yummy chocolate sponge, covered with chocolatefingers and mini-eggs, finished with a pretty Easter bow
You get to smother the whole thing in buttercream and then stick Cadbury Fabulous fingers all over it, then sprinkle Mars balls over the top and shove a few candles in
It was my younger one’s birthday and she requested new bike and a day out instead of the party… and then the hedgehog cake with chocolate sticks for dessert
A birthday wouldn't be a birthday without a cake so today I've been making one for Sam, he specifically asked for caramel crunch chocolatefingers and no vegetables
(You’ll need more frosting if you stick a “fence” around the cake – I chose not to in the end, but did buy Cadbury ChocolateFingers to add if I felt like it)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream Cake. Fruits, nuts or more chocolate. I like mine in-between, I like fudgy but I also like to be able to pick them up with my fingers
I kneaded the dough for somewhere between five and ten minutes, by which time it had become somewhat less sticky (though I wondered if, perhaps, I should not have washed my hands directly before kneading, because so much of the dough remained stuck to my fingers)
Fill around the edge of the bottom tier with golden eggs or sweets/chocolates of your choice. Start sticking your kitkats or Cadbury fingers around the outside of the bottom cake
Once cooled, cut two pieces the same size so one can go on top of other one (for house bit) then make the left over bit into a roof shape (doesn,t need to be too exact as it will get covered with icing and finger biscuits)
Cadburys mini eggs. The recipe that I have done today is Rosemary Shrager's Rich and Creamy Chocolate Tart out of her latest book Bakes, Cakes and Puddings
