Dietary. My Monday Meal Plan this week has slid to a Tuesday – as you know if you have been reading and following my blog over the last few days, I have been SO busy with a houseful of guests, cleaning, cooking, gardening, packing (I am off on my travels tomorrow) and that left me only a few hours, or should I say and hour, in evening to write my blog, do round-ups (the Herbs on Saturday round-up is following on later today) and all the other stuff I love doing here
Today’s meal plan is a little different from my usual plans, as it is Farmhouse Breakfast Week, I have decided to list a plan of all of my breakfasts this week, with some accompaniment ideas too
basically, on the “points” diet that I have always followed, (and I think that the Pro Points diet may be the same) if you KNOW you have a day coming up where you are going out for a meal or you will be eating MORE than your daily recommended daily points allowance, you can “save” some of your points up from days where you go BELOW your daily allowance, BUT only over the period of ONE WEEK = Fast days then
The Marmalade has been made, for my grand entry into the World’s Original Marmalade Awards, British Farmhouse Breakfast Week is over and January is about to slither out in either an avalanche of snow or a deluge of flooding, and, it is another Meal Planning Monday post – WHERE did last week go
I always makes a batch of this up along with my soup recipe in readiness for my two low-calorie fast days, as it’s all prepared and ready to snack on, as well as making a GREAT fruity kick-start breakfast for the start of the day
instead of being on a specific diet I have just been trying to make healthier food choices. something that is important for most of us on a day when we’re rushing out to work
Breakfast. Mushrooms or tomatoes on toast, as well as egg on toast is a close second, and when I saw some lovely fresh and VERY seasonal autumn mushrooms at the market the other day, I set out to prove that you CAN have your “on toast” treat on a diet, that is tasty and full of flavour
I do remember making funny face sandwiches for my daughter, for her school lunch box, and even now, we both love quirky food presentation, in fact the last time I stayed with her, she made me some toasted crumpet faces for breakfast
I decided to try introducing peanuts into his diet after reading a rather logical article about peanut allergies, which in short explained that by introducing small amounts frequently from a young age they are actually less likely to have an allergic reaction as their bodies learn how to process peanuts
Here are some seriously delicious healthy breakfastideas to start your day. Overwhelming amounts of research show that if you do eat breakfast you’ll tend to eat less throughout the day
There is plenty of fruit and veg to choose from – some have more fibre, carbs and protein than others, although we all need some of this in our diets to keep fit and healthy, so don’t be too frightened about the levels, particularly if you’re very active
