Old Cookbooks & Recipes – Be-Ro Dropped Scones for Breakfast (Griddle Cakes). This week was also the launch of the NEW Tea Time Treats challenge, which I am delighted to say, has linked up with Dom’s Random Recipes, for ONE crazy fun-filled month……you can read all about it here
Breakfast. Welcome to another Monday Meal Plan and a new week…. It’s time to share my meal plan for the week ahead now, and I hope that you find some recipe inspiration, whether you are dieting or not
well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen and preparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post any meal plans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying that today with a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew
basically, on the “points” diet that I have always followed, (and I think that the Pro Points diet may be the same) if you KNOW you have a day coming up where you are going out for a meal or you will be eating MORE than your daily recommended daily points allowance, you can “save” some of your points up from days where you go BELOW your daily allowance, BUT only over the period of ONE WEEK = Fastdays then
I have decided to “lighten” up some of my existing recipes, especially ones that I enjoy, and this recipe for Low-Calorie Haddock Goujons with Garlic Panko Crumb is a slightly adapted version of my Low-Fat Cumin Scented Plaice Goujons with a Panko Crumb recipe
That’s all for my Festive Fish in Friday post, do have a relaxing weekend, the last weekend this year, and see you tomorrow with some naughty but terribly nice recipes…
The Marmalade has been made, for my grand entry into the World’s Original Marmalade Awards, British Farmhouse Breakfast Week is over and January is about to slither out in either an avalanche of snow or a deluge of flooding, and, it is another Meal Planning Monday post – WHERE did last week go
That’s it for now, see you later, I have some LOVELY product reviews to post, as well as more blogging challenges and my usual latest recipes, kitchen and gardening notes
See you later, and I hope my latest meal plan has some recipes to inspire you. Breakfast. Can be serve with mashed potatoes, steamed greens or crusty bread on a non-diet (non fast) day
So, here is my latest low-calorie recipe offering – but like all my recipes, I HOPE that they can be cooked or prepared for those of you NOT on a diet too
I have to dash now, but, DO keep calling back for new recipes, as well as reviews and giveaways, have a GREAT day and see you later with my Burns Supper menu, as well as a book review and more breakfastrecipes too
I love fish, and often reach for a nice piece of fish for my main meal, especially when “fasting” on my low-calorie day, but, a change is as good as a rest as they say, and chicken breasts (skinned) are a dieter’s friend
I have already posted a few wonderful breakfast ideas yesterday, by way of a “teaser type trailer” post, and you can read all about #BreakfastWatch and my recipes here
