There is so much more that you can do withpotatoes than make fries with them and these Lemon, Garlic and Herb potatoes are bursting with flavour, and perfect for your next BBQ or picnic
Mix evenly with the oil, ground spices, garlic and chilli powder or paprika. These are so delicious served hot but they are equally as good served cold with a good raita for a picnic

Ingredients NewPotatoes 500 g or enough for the number of peopleOne red onion SlicedChopped chivesSprigs of timeGlug of olive oilSalt and pepperMethod Preheat the oven to around 190cWash dry and quarter the newpotatoes Place in a large oven proof dish Then add the chopped chives and red onionAdd seasoningsToss everything in a good glut of olive oilCook for around 1 hour in which during toss everything at regular intervals Serve and enjoy Who needs chips with burgers
To make the salsa verde, prepare all the ingredients and then blitz together in a food processor. Finally serve the chicken vegetables and pan juices with spoonfuls of salsa verde
It’s ridiculously simple to make but the combination of the roastedpotatoesand tomatoes with the fish and tangy North African chermoula marinade is a real knock-out

Main Course was leg of Lamb, roasted on a bed of lemony, thymey, garlicy potatoes. The potatoes infused with the lamb juices and all the other flavourings were actually the star of the show
Slice the onion and scatter over the potatoes. Slice the potaoes thinly and line a small roasting pan. 5 long charlotte potatoes. Place the parcels on top of the potaoes and pour on stock to just cover the potatoes, scatter over the thyme and roast at 190o for 80-90 minutes until cooked through. 5 long charlotte potatoes

Newpotatoes, whole unpeeled. If you really want to keep things super-easy you can eat the roastednewpotatoesand duck legs as they are with a crisp green salad – or alternatively whip up a quick redcurrent and wine sauce as I have done here and serve with some buttered cavalo nero

A whole meal packaged and baked in individual parcels. (See photos below) When the potatoes are cooked mix with the cream cheese, the rind of the lemon and a good sprinkling of dill
