Print text only. well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen and preparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post any meal plans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying that today with a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew

I am finding myself being drawn more and more to comfort food recipes, as autumn deepens and the first frosts appear, and so it’s with great pleasure that I share my hearty Hungarian Savoury Minced Beef, this is a real comfort meal and is low in calories, but, it is also suitable for a mid-week family supper – frugal and thrifty it may be, but it certainly doesn’t lack in flavour

I have already been preserving in the kitchen with my quinces and figs, and I have some exciting new recipes to share over the next few weeks……quinces have also made an appearance in some savoury recipes I have created, it’s a bumper crop for them this year, although I do have a small problem with mould due to the wet weather
This is a semi smooth soup ~ I blended half the soup and then kept some of the vegetables whole for texture……and I spiced it up a wee bit by adding some Smoked Paprika (Pimenton) for an Autumnal kick up the soup bowl
you may want to make Monday’s recipe on Friday, or you may only want to make one of the recipes during the week – just use the weeklymeal plan is a guide not a rule
