  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla OR 2-3 tbsp fresh lemon juice + lemon zest

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into cubes and at room temp
