It’s a firm familyfavourite, infact I would go asfaras to say it’s THE familyfavouritecake, often found inpacked lunches (where I am told their friends go YUCK on account of how it looks) and I’m not going to lie, bananasare bought purely so they go spotty andcan be turned intocake
And then, amongall the flutteringscraps of paper, I spied a very ripe bananain the fruit bowl. It's proved absolutelyfascinating so farseeing how all the entrantshave produced a delicious chocolateycake for less than one British pound
When searching for away to use up some overripe bananas I found this recipe, jumped straightinto the car to get supplies and got straightin the kitchen
I've madeabananaloafcake for as long as I can remember flavouring it with orange zest, cinnamon & ginger - a sort of Jamaican theme - but it wasn't until Nigel Slater decided to addchocolate chips to his version that it reallybecamea hit in our house
A few weeks back, on holidayandstaying with lovely family I'd hadarather lovely day out at River Cottageand despite being slightly tired from the driving, I spotted some ripe bananasin the fruit bowl and decided to do some experimentalbaking
