  • 4 large cloves of Garlic, chopped
  • 4-6 Dry Red Chillies (I used a combination of regular and Kashmiri chillies. Adjust as per taste)
  • ½ tsp Jeera/Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Urad Dal
  • ½ tsp Haldi/Turmeric Powder
  • 1 small marble sized Tamarind (Adjust as per taste)
  • ¼ tsp Jaggery/Palm Sugar (Optional)
  • ½ tbsp. Oil
  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Jeera/Cumin Seeds
  • 1-2 Dry Red Chillies
  • ¼ tsp Hing/Asafoetida
  • 2 tbsp Oil
