Put the teriyaki marinade ingredients -the mirin, soy and sugar (or honey) - in a non-metallic dish which will snugly contain the chicken (or you could use a sandwich bag), stir to dissolve the sugar a little and put the chicken into the marinade, ensuring evenly covered
You don’t of course have to use this Teriyaki sauce with chicken meatballs and stir fry, you could add it to all manner of dishes or even use it as a dipping sauce
