Syn Free Cheese and Ham Stuffed Hash Brown Waffle

  • 600 g of floury potato (like russets), grated and squeezed of excess liquid.
  • 11 egg, beaten
  • 1 salt and black pepper
  • 1 spray oil
  • 16 slices of ham
  • 160 g (2oz) of cheddar, gratedHeat waffle iron at highest heat. 
  • 1 Add grated potato to a bowl.
  • 1 Add the beaten egg, season well with salt and black pepper and mix to combine.
  • 1 Once waffle iron is heated, spray with spray oil and add the potato equally to each section of the waffle iron. (It may vary in quantity depending on what waffle iron you have)
  • 1 Close waffle iron, pushing down firmly and cook until golden approx 8-10 minutes.
  • 1 Open waffle iron once golden, add ham to the top of two of the waffles, then top with the cheddar..
  • 1 Using a spatula, carefully lift the other two waffles so it forms a kind of hash brown sandwich. 
  • 1 Close back down the waffle iron for a few mins until cheese is all melted.
  • 1 Carefully remove the stuffed waffles from the waffle iron and serve with your choice of sides. Delish!!
