well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen and preparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post any meal plans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying that today with a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew
I’ve been meaning to do this for ages. Don’t feel like you need to eat both snacks, but similarly don’t be afraid of filling yourself up on free foods in between meals
On Slimming World planning is key, and it’s been a while since I put together my last meal plan for you lovely folk, so I thought it was about time I shared another one
You can of course use wholemeal bread, and I would prefer to have wholemeal bread, but it will almost double the calories for one slice of bread, so I decided to go for white bread this time, and of course, home-made bread would be brilliant too, of course
Baking bread and treats for the biscuit tin and freezer. I am finding myself being drawn more and more to comfort food recipes, as autumn deepens and the first frosts appear, and so it’s with great pleasure that I share my hearty Hungarian Savoury Minced Beef, this is a real comfortmeal and is low in calories, but, it is also suitable for a mid-week family supper – frugal and thrifty it may be, but it certainly doesn’t lack in flavour
So, although Monday and Tuesday have gone, I hope that my mid-week meal plan will inspire you, and help you with what to make for the family this week and weekend……
Old-Fashioned Granny Loaf (Egg-Free and Fat-Free) Recipe. I apologise for missing out on last week’s Monday Meal Plan, but, I was making marmalade in Somerset with Vivien Lloyd, and was away from Sunday until very late on Monday evening when I got back home
Last week I bought some new cookbooks for my spring time reading so I have got a lot of new inspiration formeals and will definitely be having some of the delicious recipes that are in them
It will be served with potatoes and salad for the children and hubby. This week I am trying to get through some of the meat and fish that I have in the freezer so that I can stock up with some different meat and fish in a couple of weeks
Meal plan is done for the week. Just for the moment I am giving the calories alone a go, at least until I have time to get back to a class and pick up a tracker
