  • 0.5 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 100 g dark treacle
  • 75 g golden syrup
  • 75 g light muscovado sugar
  • 75 g butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
