  • 175 g light brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 g dried figs
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tbsp apricot jam
  • 1 tsp dark rum
