Restaurant Bar and Mexican Grill Chiquito have just launched their new and very exciting menu. from the minute we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome
I could never bring myself to visit the Yorkshire Man Restaurant at Hipperholme in Halifax before. The fact that it had closed and re-opened a couple of times told too much of story
It’s full of slack-jawed teenagers, disorientated tourists, and families of four, five, six who feel the need to walk side by side, sweeping the breadth of the pavement with their impenetrable linear formation
Just off Byres Road in the west end of Glasgow is Kimchi Cult, which, from its niche signage font looks like it’s straight out of a comic (possibly John Miller of Khaki Shorts fame)
The hotel is home to Chantrey’s Restaurant, a fine dining venue awarded an AA rosette for the popular signature dishes of Executive Chef, Arwel Jones, which are said to be known throughout the region
Standing on Cardiff's Caroline Street, known locally as Chippy Lane because of the density of fast food shops which occupy it, Pipi's Greek Café and Restaurant is a hidden gem lying undiscovered amongst the greasy takeaway outlets which make up its neighbours, like a diamond in the rough
Maps to browse restaurants in the adjacent streets, dismissing some as too. dad's collection of LPs and admiring the covers of the T-Rex and Queen albums
When we arrived I did think that it looked a bit like a Pub from the outside, but the minute we walked in I realised it was actually a bit of a Tardis, with a massive open plan restaurant inside
After visiting Browns Bar and Brasserie, Cardiff, back in March and falling in love at first taste, imagine my excitement when I was kindly invited to visit therestaurant again
The café and bakery joins six of its kind throughout the UK, and with another due to open soon in Hamburg, it looks as though Crȇpeaffaire are going international
At the same time, I felt like I might be missing out on something really good, so I continued looking at tasting menus until I found one where I liked almost everything that was listed (aside from a few accompaniments to the main dish, which I thought wouldn’t matter too much) so the decision was made – we were going to Gordon Ramsay’s Maze restaurant
An award-winning restaurant, it’s near but not on Brick Lane – I’ve found in the past that some Brick Lane restaurants are more geared up for tourists but it is a short walk away in Whitechapel where you find the really good, authentic curry houses frequented by locals – such as Needoo Grill and Tayyabs
The absence of onion bhajis had me wondering how to compare and contrast with all my other favourite Indian restaurants, but this meant I got to try five different starters, and I could have kept eating them all night
For me, pizza is usually something I eat at home as a takeaway meal, rather than in a restaurant. However, upon reading the Pizza Express menu I was pleasantly surprised to find an extensive variety of pizzas on offer, with a variety of bases and toppings - not just your usual margherita, ham and pineapple and BBQ chicken
Therestaurant also has its very own food shop and deli selling quality Italian products, many of them sourced direct from small artisan producers in Italy, including olive oils, aged balsamic vinegar, freshly made pasta, coffee, biscuits, wine and more
