Ingredients

  • 2.5 l boiling water
  • 500 g dry red split lentils
  • 2 x 400 g tins chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbs mixed Italian herbs or ½ tsp of each: oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, marjoram and parsley
  • 4 vegetable cubes (10 g each)
  • thick cream / olive oil to taste
  • 2 – 3 whole garlic heads
  • chilli flakes – to taste
  • sea salt – to taste
