Which, if you ask me, is theunder-rated cake of the baking world. Lus-cccious. To celebrate RandomRecipes being a whole year old, Dom has invited us to cast our mind (and our oven) back to the very first entry we made for the challenge and to choose a random recipe from that very same book
I recently discovered Belleau Kitchen and his randomrecipes through another blog (Maison Cupcake) when last month Sarah @ Maison Cupcakes entered randomrecipes blog hop which asked readers to take pictures of their cook book collections
now on to anotherRandom Recipe virgin, the very lovely Helen from Fuss Free Flavours with this rather delightfully titled Risi and Bisi taken from the genius, A Feast for the Eyes, evocative recipes and surprising tales, inspired by paintings in the National Gallery
the lovely Susan over at her Spice Garden clearly remembered exactly which book was her first, which was Craig Claibornes New York Times Cook Book and her Random Recipe was this amazing looking herbed spiral bread
Yep, never thought I'd be saying healthy and low-fat in one sentence on this blog. Many kgs of chocolate later in the day this is what we had for dessert, inspired by Dom's Random Recipe Challenge
One of the FIRST challenges I discovered was RandomRecipes, hosted and run by the Dashing Dom over at Belleau Kitchen, so I JUMPED right in with both feet and joined up
