Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas
  • 1 cup dried pinto beans (from Suma)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for frying
  • 1 onion, very finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp chickpea/gram flour (from Suma)
  • 1 chilli, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
