  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Frangipane (makes enough for 1 x 20 cm/ 8 inch tart)
  • 100 g unsalted butter

  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 20 g cocoa powder to make chocolate frangipane
  • Filling
  • 1 tin pear halves
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam
  • 20 g flaked almonds
