Chop onion and gently fry in oil until soft
Add crushed garlic cook couple of minutes
(Works just as well with frozen chopped onion & garlic out of a tube to save on prep)
Add all other ingredients, bring to the boil, cover then simmer 20 minutes
Meanwhile cook some of your favourite pasta, drain well
Add to cooked bolognaise sauce then stir
Continue to simmer for a little while if necessary to remove any excess water
Serve with plenty of green vegetables or a fresh green salad

I decided to take that cornedbeef to another level with the usual cast of dinner ingredients and came up with this layered CornedBeef Potato Gratin with Brussels Sprouts
Add the ketchup and stir into the vegetables for a few seconds before adding the cornedbeef. Break the beef into chunky pieces with a wooden spoon and mix with the vegetables
