Tap the tin on a flat surface a few times to even out the mixture and smooth off. Chocolate cake is layered with coffee cake and chocolate chips are sprinkled in between for a luxurious treat which not only tastes great but looks it as well
ForTeaTime Treat's very first birthday I will bake the nation's favourite cake. If you haven't the time, simply pop the sultanas and juice in a microwave-proof dish and microwave for around a minute or so
They are quite time consuming because of the proving time, but I will definitely make them again. I love teacakes, to me they are a lovely snack and real comfort food when toasted and covered with lashings of butter

The last time someone asked me to make a Victoria sponge I used the same method just baking it in two sponge tins instead of a tray and then layering with strawberry jam and double cream sweetened with a little icing sugar
