Ingredients

  • 4 TBS butter
  • 2 cooked boneless, skinless chicken breasts, shredded
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen vegetables
  • 1 small onion, peeled and chopped
  • 120 g grated strong cheddar cheese (1 cup)
  • 260 g of baking mix (2 cups, like Biscuick)
  • 355 ml milk (1 1/2 cups)
  • 355 ml hot chicken stock (1 1/2 cups)
  • 2 chicken stock cubes
  • 1 (295g) tin condensed cream of chicken soup (10.75 ounces)
  • 700 g plain flour (5 cups, all purpose)
  • 3 TBS baking powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 220 g of solid white vegetable fat (Crisco or Trex, 1 cup)
