This recipe is based on Jamie'sfish pie, and is utterly delish. I have always been truly mesmerised by Jamie Oliver's style of cooking- it seems like he is just chucking a bit of this in, a bit of that but the results are amazing
I started with Hairy Bikers' Chicken Tikka Masala from their Great Curries book. Everyone loves a good curry night and although a takeaway is great sometimes, it is so much more satisfying to create your own and see everyone enjoy it
This Lamb Rogan Josh recipe comes from Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food, where he gives the option of using a paste for the curry section, or creating it yourself
Sometimes a good Chicken Tikka Masala Curry is all I want to eat. Most of the time I feel bad about this as it usually means I end up in my local curry take away
But, never fear as I also have a lovely pilau rice recipe and a fantastic wholemeal roti breads recipe, which go perfectly with this dish and help to keep it somewhere in the region of healthy
White fish works well with this. This curry is, in her words, not an original one. It is widely available in supermarkets (if I found it, you can too) and fishmongers across the country
To give you some fishy inspiration, I’ve been given a delicious fish and tomato curry recipe from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Light & Easy to share with you
The title of this recipe, Easy Curried Fish Stew, does not sound very appetising. 1 handful of curry leaves. 6 x 100 g white fish fillets , such as bream or haddock, skin on, scaled and pin-boned, from sustainable sources. Put a 25cm shallow casserole pan on a medium heat with 1 tablespoon of oil, the spring onions, chilli, ginger, curry leaves and all the spices. Simmer for 20 minutes, then cut the fish in half across the middle and place in the pan for a further 10 minutes, or until the fish and rice are cooked through, adding the prawns for the last 5 minutes. 1 handful of curry leaves. 100 g white fish fillets , such as bream or haddock, skin on, scaled and pin-boned, from sustainable sources
Anyway, over the past few weeks Jamie Oliver has become a go-to source for great weekday suppers when you’re tired and stressed from work as well as weekend show stoppers
Recipe for Cambodian FishCurry. I got inspired to make this from watching Cambodian Amok Fish. A mild curry that is not overly spiced, yet the flavours are not at all compromised
Pat the fish dry using kitchen paper. Run your finger gently over the fish to make sure all the bones have been taken out, you can get an adult to double-check this for you
I would like to thank Julinda and Saman for this fantastic recipe. For now, I would like to show you a fishcurry recipe that Chef Julinda demonstrated to me and a few new food blogger friends the following morning
