But when I'm going to blog something, I plan it in advance) I wasn't really thinking in terms of volume, and ended up using two stockpots to fit everything in, so I have scaled it down to more reasonable proportions - however, feel free to halve the recipe below if needed, you won't really need to adjust the timings particularly
Some of my favorite easy chicken recipes, besides this InstantPot Chicken Curry recipe are Chicken Enchilada Casserole, Easy Balsamic Glazed Chicken Drumsticks, and Dijon Grilled Chicken
I also didn't brown my chicken on Sauté this time (you can do this with some oil by pressing Sauté and then the Adjust button to set the InstantPot to More)
I've been making steak and ale pie for years - I often start off by braising beef this way, and sometimes it even gets the traditional pastry lids when it actually ends up as a pie (I usually like to do them individually in pots with just a puff pastry or rough puff pastry top), sometimes it ends up not as a pie, but with fluffy dumplings on top, soaking up the juices, or occasionally it's served with baguette slices laid on it near the end, smothered in a mix of butter and mustard and topped with cheese
There are few things morecomfortingforlamb lovers, than a decent Shepherd's pie. Essentially this is just mashed potatoesand you can make them however you prefer - my preference is to oven bake them, and then put them through a potato ricer, for maximum flavour and minimum fuss
11 small sweet potato (approx 250g/9oz). 14 cloves of garlic crushed and chopped. 12 tsps of coriander. 1Fresh Chopped CorianderPierce sweet potato with a fork, place in microwave and cook for 5 mins (should feel soft to touch). 1Set instantpot to saute mode. 1Add onion, garlic, carrot and ginger and fry till softened. 1Cut sweet potato in half and scoop out all flesh, add to instantpot, along with all the spices. 1Mix well, roughly mashing sweet potato. 1Add chicken thighs, chilis, coconut milk and chicken stock. 1Sprinkle with fresh chopped coriander
Or to be specific, an InstantPot, which includes an electric pressure cooking facility, and various safety mechanisms, taking the worry it out of it (explosions
I've not always been a fan of spare ribs, having been given my fair share of over-cooked ribs with dried out, 'cottony' textured meat clinging stubbornly to the bones, andtherefore it wasn't something I chose to cook very often
Add the garlic and ginger and fry for a further couple of minutes (being careful the garlic doesn't burn), then add the curry paste and fry off for a minute
Peel and grate the onion (or crush/whizz up in a food processor - see italics forThermomix) and mix together with all of the other marinade ingredients (give the yoghurt a quick stir with a fork first, to avoid lumps) and salt and pepper to taste
(See below forThermomix method in italics). Delicious served as a condiment with a roast turkey dinner, on the side of cold meats, or in a baguette with soft brie, and maybe even a little bacon, or with turkey, ham and stuffing
There are hundreds, probably thousands of recipes for tomato sauces out there. Most often, outside of Italy you'll be lucky to get really good, flavoursome fresh plum tomatoes (and honestly, if they're that good, I'd probably want to eat them raw
See below forThermomix method (in italics). I do enjoy experimenting in the kitchen at times, and it is nice to take flavours which work well together, and then try to use them in different contexts
