• Put the oven to 180°C (gas mark 4)
• Grease and line two bases of 20cm tins
• Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in 1 tablespoon of milk (minus the ml in a tablespoon from the total amount of milk)
• Mix all the ingredients together. Use an electric whisk for air
• Bake for around 40mins or until cakes spring back when pressed
