Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 125 g caster sugar
  • 120 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g unsalted butter, melted but cooled
  • 600 ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 180 g golden caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp brandy/kirsch
  • 100 g cornflour
  • 150 g unsalted butter, at room temperature and cubed
  • 75 g caster sugar
  • 2 lemons Ingredients (to assemble)
  • 600 g medium strawberries
  • 200 g marzipan (white or yellow)
  • 100 g dark chocolate, melted over bain marie
