Ingredients

  • 225 g/8oz butter or alternative
  • 225 g/8oz caster sugar. (I used a cup of Maple syrup instead)
  • 225 g/8oz Self Raising flour
  • 4 eggs 1 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons instant coffee mixed with 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 75 g/3oz chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 50 g/2 oz caster sugar
  • 50 g/2 oz walnut pieces
