Breakfast. well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen and preparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post any meal plans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying that todaywith a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew
With a weight loss of one stone over seven weeks now, and that includes the odd blip now and then, as I was travelling and attending press days and events, I am really pleased with how I feel, as well as the obvious weight loss of course

Season to taste with salt, and serve immediately with boiled rice, and garnish with fresh coriander. I'm cutting down again, so whilst looking for lower calories meals, I came across this chicken curry on the Slimming world website
The portion size is quite generous, but I chose not to make rice for my own supper, instead wilting some spinach and mixing them with some softened onion, cumin and coriander
This easy recipe is on the table in under half an hour and makes use of some handy store cupboard and pantry ingredients, such as cannellini beans, lemon, cumin and of course fresh herbs from the garden

Alternatively if you like things spicy, add a dash of hot pepper sauce (go easy. I mentioned recently about how much I am loving my slow cooker these days and I think one of my favourite things to cook in it is either pulled pork or shredded chicken, and I’m a sucker for anything with an Asian twist

My Monday Meal Plans have been shunted to Mid-Week Meal Plans lately – but in one way, I prefer it, as I usually know what I am having on Monday and Tuesday, but it’s the rest of the week I sometimes have issues with, and once I have been shopping at the beginning of the week I am better placed and organised to plan ahead

I’m persevering, although some weeks I think I simply eat too much food on feast days (three meals out in a row doesn’t really help if you are trying to lose weight
Extra Easy syn value. It's really easy to put to together and this recipe makes 4 portions, perfect for extra lunches. Add the mozzarella ball, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp mustard powder, 500g pasata/ sieved tomatoes, 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar, garlic, sweetener, Salt & pepper, and smoked paprika. Par boil the pasta for 5 mins or until slightly softened then mix with the BBQ beef sauce. Put the mix into a large casserole dish and then top with slices of mozzarella, to be sure you top with enough for your HE, weigh out 40g of light mozzarella each time and separate into 4 sections, so you know 1 section = 1 HE
day outside, all I really want is a warm cup of tea, teamed with a biscuit or. with a good splodge of spiced apple sauce, I managed to stave off the hunger
