Croissant ChocolateBread & ButterPuddingThis recipe was inspired by a combination of Instagram and a phone call from my mum telling me about the dessert she had just made and how delicious it was
And they also bought a round loaf of chocolate chip bread. I didn't need to add any chocolate chips, as the bread was quite generously stuffed with them
Arrange the brioche slices in the baking tin butter side up, add slices of strawberry andchocolate buttons in-between the layers (try to hide the buttons so they don’t burn on top)
chocolate croissant breadandbutterpudding. instead of the chocolate spread you could use marmalade for a chocolate orange pudding or caramel sauce/dulce de leche - for a sweet and sticky chocolate caramel dessert
Today I made White Chocolateand Forest Fruit BreadandButterPudding . Cut up the White Chocolate into chunks, I like to leave the pieces quite large so they melt and you get little pockets of White Chocolate Sauce within the pudding
When I got my first job working in kitchens, I remember the first thing I learnt to make was this delicious white chocolatebreadandbutterpudding that we used to make with slices of panettone

Breadandbutterpudding is traditionally made with day old bread but my version here is slightly more decadent and uses a rich brioche loaf and dark chocolate which ripples through the puddingand gives a rich satisfying flavour
Cut the croissants in half andsandwich back together with a generous smear of salted caramel (leaving some remaining) then arrange in the dish and scatter the chopped chocolate over them
How about breadandbutterpudding, made with hot cross buns and dark chocolate. Cut the hot cross buns in half and stuff them with chunks of dark chocolate
Butter the breadand then cut each slice into quarters. I made it with wholemeal sliced bread as that's what we have and the crusts needed using up, but you can use white bread, brioche or even croissants
Classics never fail, and this beauty, with oozing white chocolate, is dessert at its best. All-butter croissants are used instead of bread for an indulgent take on this old fashioned pudding
