Apologies for only one photograph, but whenever I make this cake it disappears way too quickly, the recipe is based on Phil Vickery's GlutenFreeChocolate fudge cake but made dairyfree and with a vegan frosting
This recipe is my own tweaked version, making it as 'healthy' and as 'free from' as can be, using coconut nectar, raw cacao powder, glutenfree flour, dairyfreechocolate and coconut milk for the frosting

You could experiment with using white chocolate as a topping too, but firstly, it's not usually dairyfree, secondly, it didn't look quite so nice once cooled and set, and thirdly, it just didn't taste as good, which is why I haven't put it as a suggestion - it was my favourite Green & Black's organic white chocolate as well

I have made this cake completely dairy and glutenfree, obviously if you do not have these requirements you could use butter and regular flour and leave out the xantham gum

You might need to add a splash or two of your dairyfree milk of choice to help it come together. To make this with 'normal' non-allergy-free ingredients you don't need to adjust any of the quantities
Because glutenfreecakes tend to be a bit more crumbly I don't try to spread any chocolate buttercream over the log like I used to when baking with wheat flour

Line and grease a deep cake tin with dairyfree butter. I used a dairyfree dark chocolate as the main chocolate base but I couldn’t help throwing in a bit of white chocolate in there too which adds an extra bit of sweetness
