At this stage add the crispy potatoes to the cooked beef mince and you are ready to serve. To make a gravy style curry out of this recipe, begin with sauteeing some sliced onion, tomato, and ginger before adding beef mince to the pan
Step 2 In a mixing bowl, weigh out the flour, salt, butter and Trex. Step 4 Wrap in clingfilm and place in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes. Step 7 Wash the potatoes (I don’t peel them as the skin is the best bit), chop and place in a pan of water. Step 8 Add the onion and bring to the boil, then simmer till cooked. Step 9 Drain the potatoesand onion but leave in the pan. Step 10 Add the cornedbeef, ketchup, chopped tomatoes and the dissolved Oxo. Step 11 Mash the ingredients together but make sure to leave some lumps of potatoes. Step 12 Cover the filling and set aside whilst you work with the pastry. Step 16 Brush the pastry base with egg wash and bake for 20 minutes to seal the base before you add the filling. Step 18 Once the base is baked and golden brown add the filling and cover with the pastry lid. Step 19 Seal the edges with a fork and prick the top with the fork. Step 20 Egg wash the top and bake for a further 30 minutes. 1 tin of cornedbeef. 4 medium potatoes
