Before I start, I would like to say a HUGE thanks to the lovely Andi over at London Busy Body who was the fabulous host for March, and you can see her brilliant round-up here

We’re really looking forward to using the herb pots that we were suppliedwith to show our little one how plants grown at home can be enjoyed year round in our own cooking
Rachel tells us that this recipe has been inspired by this month’s Pasta Please challenge, as well as and Lavender and Lovage’s CookingwithHerbs challenge, which had a citrus theme in January
The theme for December was SPICES and you all sent in some spicy AND herbal delights, as you can see from the list below……the winning recipe, as picked by a mystery judge, will be revealed in the NEW YEAR’S challenge, which will be live on the first of January
No Mary Berry cookbook would be complete without a selection of baking recipes, you’ll find plenty to choose from in the chapters for Desserts & Puddings, Sweet Pies & Tarts, and not forgetting Cakes & Biscuits
The winner will be announced in a monthly round-up of all the entries. I can just about let our oldest Jess get on with it alone now, although I tend to hang around in the kitchen in case she needs a hand, while I act as Mia’s ‘kitchen slave’ so that she’s in charge and I only do what she instructs me to do – within reason
It is important to place the side with bigger holes facing upwards. Every family gathering my auntie would indulge us with her famous Chocolate and Jam Wafers
In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. You can throw in a cup of chopped nuts , raisins , or chocolate chips , if desired, or put the mixture into muffin molds and make muffins instead
With a bit of more mashing most of the sour cherries were crushed and the ice cream base was ready to go into a freezer-safe box then into the freezer for a good few hours or overnight
So for now, I don’t have a Jaffa Cake recipe to share with you. So you see, cooking and baking is a journey… with a giant learning curve… we tried something new and it didn’t really work out, but we did indentify the problems and we will try again… let’s hope next time everything will go according to plan
