well, what with doing my Wartime Kitchen and preparing for Christmas, I have not had time to post any mealplans, or indeed any of my new recipes, but, I am rectifying that today with a NEW recipe that’s just right for all the snow and frost we have been having over the last few days – a Scottish inspired Highland Stew

But back to my weekly mealplan, which is on Tuesday again, and I am late again……it is an odd week, as I have my daughter and her two friends staying for the week, so things will be a little flexible
My Monday MealPlans have been shunted to Mid-Week MealPlans lately – but in one way, I prefer it, as I usually know what I am having on Monday and Tuesday, but it’s the rest of the week I sometimes have issues with, and once I have been shopping at the beginning of the week I am better placed and organised to plan ahead

I have already been preserving in thekitchen with my quinces and figs, and I have some exciting new recipes to share over the next few weeks……quinces have also made an appearance in some savoury recipes I have created, it’s a bumper crop for them this year, although I do have a small problem with mould due to the wet weather
I am supporting National Chip Week with the view to buying local potatoes as well as treating myself to some chips (and fish) from the local chippie too
This week will be a little upside-down as I am travelling over to France on Tuesday and will be trying to pack later on today, but, all the more reason to try to plan my meals this week, even if one day is taken up with travelling
Now back to my cleaneating stuffed peppers recipe and the many benefits of peppers in general. I love peppers, my favourite are the red ones because of their sweet tangy taste, but also because red in general is one of my favourite colours

I find that when I do not know what to do for my lunch I'll have bread or grab a packet of crisps which leave me hungry in the afternoon and I end up eating biscuits or chocolate or sometimes both
For this cleaneating homemade pitta bread I used Allison Wholemeal flour. Do not use wholemeal bread flour as it is too heavy and will come out as hard as a stone
