Ingredients

  • 40 g unsalted butter
  • 90 g granulated sugar
  • 30 g soft light brown sugar
  • 100 g self-raising flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 20 g cocoa
  • 1 egg 120 ml milk (I used semi-skimmed)
  • 30 g plain chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 80 g unsalted butter, at room temp
  • 200 g icing sugar
  • 50 g cocoa
  • 25 ml milk (again, I used semi-skimmed)
  • 6 candy canes, crushed
  • 75 g white chocolate
