I had some cream cheese that needed using left in my fridge, so what better way to use it than to take the opportunity to share my best Very Lemony Cupcakes with you
The recipe I had found was by Fiona Cairns for her Sticky Toffee Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Buttercream from her book, Bake and Decorate (you can also find the recipe online here)
Anyways a few weeks ago I was asked by my friend Alex to make some cupcakes for her Grandma's Birthday and they had to include Thornton's special toffee as that was her Grandmas favorite
Whenever I think of Terry’s ChocolateOrange I think of Christmas, this Chocolate in my opinion has a very Christmassy feel to it – even TV adverts are only shown at Christmas time
Chocolateorangecupcakes are great at any time of year but they are especially good in the run up to Christmas when the Terry’s chocolateorange segments finally go on sale
My chocolateorangecupcakes taste just like a Terry's ChocolateOrange ~ Oh yes they do. I'm always looking for the crowd pleaser, I hate it if someone won't have a cake as I feel they're missing out, so I obsessed for two weeks over what I was going to make and I came up with chocolateorange
I used a piping bag to swirl the buttercream over the top, adding pieces of chopped chocolateorange (for a hidden surprise I used the popping candy one)
Chocolateorange buttercream is something I made for the first time for my birthday cake last year by adding a melted Terry's ChocolateOrange to standard buttercream
And here are the chocolateorange cakes. Put the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, orange zest and butter in a mixing bowl and mix together or rub between your fingertips until you get a sandy consistency
I made these cupcakes earlier in the year, using Terry's ChocolateOrange Bars- but I think the actual Orange segments would work just as well, if not better
' Chocolateorange is the best, and delicious. I decided to make chocolate ones but wanted to jazz them up a little so though 'what goes really well with chocolate
So rather than the traditional chocolate marbled cakes where you have half a vanilla cake mix and half a chocolate cake mix, this is actually an orange flavoured cake mix marbled with melted milk chocolate
I also made some vanilla cupcakes and chocolateorangecupcakes for another bake sale. Any way in between all this I have found a little time to do some non cupcake baking in the form of chocolateorange dipped shortbread
I was asked to make some cakes for a village event and as I scanned my cupboards I noticed a Terrys chocolateorange in one of the cupboards, which gave me the inspiration to make some chocolateorangecupcakes
Chocolate and orange has to be one of my favourite flavour combinations so I thought it about time to pay homage to the ultimate Terry's ball of joy with this cupcake concoction
It might be chocolateorange overload, but I don’t care. To make the buttercream, first melt the milk chocolate in a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water, then leave to cool
