  • 125 g butter (softened)
  • 100 g brown sugar (unrefined)
  • 125 g caster sugar
  • 1 egg (you might need the whites of another egg), (lightly beaten)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 225 g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 200 g chocolate chips (for a mixture I use 100g milk chocolate and 100g white chocolate)

    • First preheat the oven to 180° or gas mark 4
    • Line 2 or 3 trays with baking paper
    • Next cream the butter and the sugars
    • Then add in the vanilla extract and egg(s)
    • Sift in the flour and salt
    • For mixing use an electric whisk if you have one for the best result
    • Also if it’s crumbly add the whites of another egg and if it gets sticky add some more flour till perfect consistency
    • Then finally last but especially not least add in the chocolate chips
    • After you have a chocolate chip cookie dough make little balls and space them out on the trays you have already lined with baking paper
    • Bake for 7-10 mins
    • Enjoy!!
