• Preheat the oven 180°C/ fan 160°/ gas mark 4
• Cream the butter and sugars together in a bowl until light and fluffy
• Beat in the egg
• Add the flour, baking powder, salt and oats and mix in the chocolate to form a dough
• Set aside in the fridge for around 10 mins to firm up
• Take small balls of dough about the size of a plum and roll them in your hands
• Place on a baking sheet lined with grease proof paper, spacing them apart to allow for them spreading as they cook
• Flatten each ball slightly with your hand, then place in the oven and cook for 15 mins
• Remove from the oven and leave to cook for 5 mins to harden, then use a fish slice to transfer to a wire rack
