  • 3/4 cup or 150g light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup or 113g unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus extra for greasing the pan
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
  • 3 heaping tablespoons good quality cherry jam
