This is based on the traditional English broccoliandstiltonsoup, but it’s bulked out with a lot of potatoes – this makes it more economical to scale up, and thicker and more filling too- more of a meal soup

At the end of the recipe Nigella says this is best the day after it’s made, so I planned for this and made the stew one night ready for reheating the next night
