Ingredients

  • 24 pieces For the biscuit base
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 80 g light brown sugar
  • 230 g butter
  • 450 g cream cheese
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 5 apples, cored and cut into chunks. I used braeburn as that’s what I had but I also like their texture and good balance of sweet and tart. I kept the skin on because I’m lazy.
  • 2 tbsps light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 125 g plain flour
  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 75 g ground almonds
  • 160 g light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon – feel free to omit this, we love it so use a lot.
  • 120 g butter, melted
  • 13 inches by
  • 10 inches Make the biscuit base first
