The perfect quick dinner, whipped up in under 30 minutes, this fried chicken and sticky five spice sauce will beat the Chinese any day, and at just 1 syn per portion you’re in for a treat. I was thinking about this, and craving some fried chicken the other day, when I realised I could meet myself in the middle, not just as a treat but as an every day dish for just 1 syn per portion. Crispy Fried Chicken with Sticky Five Spice Sauce 2016-07-26 04. For the Chicken 2x Muscle Foods Chicken Breasts 1tbsp Plain Flour Fry Light Salt & Pepper (to taste). For the Sauce 1x Orange (zest and juice) 1tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder 3tbsp Soy Sauce 1x Chicken Stock Cube 100mls Water 1/2tsp Xanthan Gum (see post for details). I based this meal on one of my favourite dishes from a local restaurant. This is a little taste of luxury with only 2 syns for the whole meal (including the potato dauphinoise). 1 small onion, finely diced. 1 clove garlic. 100ml chicken stock. Spray a pan with low calorie spray and place on a moderately high heat until hot but not smoking, then cook chicken , uncovered, until well browned (approx 8 to 10 minutes). Turn chicken over and cook until chicken is just cooked through (about 10 minutes more)
